User Fees Increase Oct. 1 for Customs

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has adjusted the following customs user fees and limitations for fiscal year 2023 and will require these adjusted fees as of Oct. 1, 2022.


- customs broker permit: $163.71 (up from $153.19)


- express consignment carrier/centralized hub facility, per individual waybill/bill of lading: minimum $0.42/maximum $1.19 (up from $0.39/$1.11)


- merchandise processing: minimum $29.66/maximum $575.35 (up from $27.75/$538.40)


- surcharge for manual entry or release: $3.56 (up from $3.33)


- informal entry or release not prepared by CBP personnel: $2.37 automated/$7.12 manual (up from $2.22/$6.66)


- informal entry or release prepared by CBP personnel: $10.68 (up from $9.99)


- commercial vessel arrival: $518.41 per arrival per arrival/$7,064.34 annual cap (up from $485.11/$6,610.63)


- barge and other bulk carrier arrival: $130.49 per arrival/$1,779.43 annual cap (up from $122.11/$1,665.15)


- commercial truck arrival: $6.50 per arrival/$118.63 annual cap (up from $6.10/$111.01)


- rail car arrival: $9.79 per arrival/$118.63 annual cap (up from $9.16/$111.01)


- dutiable mail: $6.52 (up from $6.11)


- commercial vessel or aircraft passenger arrival: $6.52 (up from $6.11)
